Sago Halwa
Ingredients :
- 1 cup sago
- 2 cup water
- 3 cup milk
- 1½ cup sugar
- ½ ghee cup
- 3 cardamom pods
- Cashew nuts
- Raisins (Dry Grape)
- Vanilla essence or any flavor of your choice
Method :
- Soak the sago in water for 2 hour. Then drain the water
- Grind it to smooth with required milk (Can be made without grinding)
- Mix the sago paste with milk and sugar and pour in a thick bottomed vessel like pressure pan or cooker
- Heat has to be in simmer mode
- Still continuously until it becomes thick like halwa
- Add ghee little by little until it leaves the sides and the ghee starts oozing out of halwa
- Remove this in another vessel
- Heat the ghee in a pan. Fry the cashew nuts, cardamom pods and flavor of your choice
- Add this in the halwa and wait until it cools
