Our Recipe



SAGO IDLI

Ingredients :

  • Rice rava 3 cup
  •  Thick sour curd- 3 cups
  •  Bengal gram/ kadalai paruppu - 2 tbsp
  •  Coconut(Scrapped) - 2 tbsps
  •  Baking Soda – ½ tbsp
  •  Oil - 3 tbsps
  •  Mustard seed/ Kadugu – ½ tbsp
  •  Cashew nuts
  •  Green chillies-2-3
  •  Curry leaves
  •  Salt flakes – 3½ tsps)

Method :

  •  Wash the rice and soak for 1hr in water. Then drain the water and dry in a cloth in shadow. Grind this rice in a mixer grinder like rava
  •  Mix the sago, rice rava, salt, Bengal gram in the curd and stir well, and then soak for a night
  •  In the morning mix curry leaves, coconut scrap and baking soda in the mixture
  •  Heat oil in a wide, thick bottomed kadai or in a nonstick pan, add mustard seeds and Green chillies, and then add cashew nuts
  •  Add this in the sago, rice rava mix and stir well
  •  Pore this mix in the idly plates and boil/cook it
